Hi everyone, I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself to this wonderful group. I am a man in my early 30s who has struggled for a long time due my mothers alcohol abuse. The pain and suffering left long term scars, and I am now at a place where I want to help others as best I can and contribute to an amazing cause.

Welcome to the Nacoa family. Once your in you will never leave. Nacoa are super special for people like us. Well done on the work that you have achieved to get to this place. I know it takes depth and pain but your experience can be comfort to others who suffer in silence. #uarenotalone

Great to have you with us. We can all identify with the pain and long term scars that having an alcoholic parent brings. I hope that being part of the NACOA community helps you and it's great that you are feeling in a place where you can support others in the same situation, I am sure you will make a great contribution x

Hi, and thank you so much for sharing. I’m so sorry to hear of how long you have been struggling. I’m also so glad that you have found us here at Nacoa. Welcome. I so hope that this can be a space of community for you.
It’s wonderful, and sounds so powerful, that you have got to a place in your own journey of wanting to help others.
Please always remember too that the Nacoa helpline is there for you as well, should you ever like to talk. You’re not alone.
