I wanted to share how the term ‘Merry Christmas’ can feel, as the kid of an alcoholic.

I’d buy cards just to feel normal. ‘To Dad’ on the envelope.

It started when mum started to find beer bottles and wine hidden all around the house.
When I used to go to my friend’s house I noticed how happy her mum and dad were.
