i was really looking forward to christmas but I know its a time of year when everyone is celebrating. i feel as though my Christmas memories are ruined by living with someone who drinks so much so I don’t know how I can make my Christmas special again.

    Hi yolo111

I’m really sorry to hear you’re experiencing this. Sounds like familiar emotions. I always used to feel this way around Christmas time when my mother drank a lot during the time I was growing up. Always remember, you are not alone and there is so many people who can relate to your personal experiences. Although if you do need someone to talk to, you can always contact a helpline counsellor on 0800 358 3456, or email address is helpline@nacoa.org.uk

I really hope your new year is better.
