Like many families with addiction, there was constant covering up to make things look ‘respectable’ and keep the secret.
This story I would say is a story of hope. One that I want to share to show to people.
I spent days thinking that if I did not exist, it would make her better.
This is what we do, daily.

You should always remember it is just as physically and emotionally draining for the carer as it is for the addicted.
I felt like I couldn’t speak to anybody because I was ‘just an emotional child’.
