Lindsay Doherty, Trustee

Lindsay Doherty has spent her career in the Civil Service, working in various roles including Inventory Management and Logistics, Equipment Support and Continuous Improvement, Information and Knowledge Management, Resource Management and Planning and most recently Business Change.    

Lindsay discovered Nacoa in 2018 after reading an article online about Calum Best climbing Mont Blanc to raise funds. Having lost her own father to alcoholism when she was a teenager, she was keen to help and trained soon after as a volunteer counsellor, later becoming a Trustee in 2023. 

Lindsay feels passionately about the work Nacoa does, breaking down the secrecy and shame both children and adult COAs are often bound to which prevent them from talking openly.  

Lindsay lives in Bristol with her fiancée Adam and their high-spirited Labrador Marvel.
