Dr Piers Henriques, Director of Communications
Dr Piers Henriques is an internationally recognised expert championing the needs of children of alcohol-dependent parents across the UK and around the world.
Over the years, his role within the charity has grown significantly. He took over communications responsibilities in 2014, tasked with developed Nacoa’s branding and outreach. He was a leading figure in the substantial growth Nacoa’s success in politics, media, the health sector, and awareness in the wider world.
On a day to day basis, he manages Nacoa’s social media content, policy advocacy and media engagement. He also represents Nacoa and Nacoa callers in parliamentary and other affiliated groups.
Piers recently retired part time responsibilities teaching English at Cambridge University. For six years he held a role as College Tutor. He completed a PhD in English in 2020, specialising in communication and ‘intermedial’ aesthetics.
