It is a privilege to announce Jen Payne as an official ambassador of Nacoa UK.

Since joining as a volunteer of Nacoa, no one has taken our message closer to heart. As a adult child of an alcoholic going through traumatic experiences to this day, she has tirelessly shared experiences to help children and adult children of tomorrow.

Jen has spoken for Nacoa in parliament, TV news specials, corporate galas, and schools. She has never shied away from an opportunity to let people know that they are not alone.

Her experiences and ceaseless passion for the cause makes her a perfect person to hold the prestigious role of Nacoa Ambassador.

I can’t quite find the words

I can’t quite find the words to describe how incredibly honoured, overwhelmed, and grateful I am to share this news with all of you. I’ve been chosen as an ambassador for Nacoa, a charity that has completely transformed the way I view the world One that speaks to the very core of who I am. 🌍💙

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Now, being part of this incredible organisation allows me to do just that. For years I’ve watched from the sidelines feeling the weight of wanting to do more. To give more, to help uplift those who are struggling, hurting, and in need of hope.

Nacoa has been a beacon of light in the darkness of many children. Tirelessly working to bring hope, healing, and support to many. Now I have the chance to stand alongside them, encourage the change and break the stigma surrounding alcoholism.

Jen Payne: Life as an adult COA

Growing up as the child of an alcoholic

Growing up as the child of an alcoholic was an experience that shaped my entire life. Living with the unpredictability, fear, and heartache that comes with loving someone battling addiction was a constant emotional struggle. The instability, the broken promises, and the endless cycle of hope and disappointment made me feel invisible, like my voice didn’t matter.

But through those difficult years, I realised the importance of support systems—of having someone who listens, who cares, who offers a hand when the weight of it all feels too heavy to bear.

This is why becoming an ambassador for Nacoa resonates so deeply with me. Because I know what it feels like to be silenced by circumstances beyond your control, and I know how vital it is to have someone fighting in your corner. Nacoa gives a voice to the voiceless and stands up for those who feel unseen, just as I once did.

As an ambassador, my mission is clear: to raise awareness, to amplify voices that are too often unheard, and to build a movement of support for Children of Alcoholics. I will dedicate myself to sharing stories of resilience, of struggle, of hope—because it’s these stories that have the power to inspire change.

To those who have supported me and believed in me, you’ve helped make this possible, and I’m so grateful. This is just the beginning. Let’s walk this path of hope, change, and compassion together.

With all my heart and gratitude,

Jen Payne
