Nacoa UK Welcomes Tod Harrison as Trustee
A Personal Journey of Resilience
Nacoa UK proudly welcomes Tod Harrison as our newest trustee. His mix of expertise with a journey of resilience and passion for change make him a valuable addition.
Tod, a devoted husband and father of three, spent over five decades navigating the complexities of being affected by a parent’s drinking. For years, he remained silent, but now he is determined to use his voice and experiences to make a difference.
His story proves there is no age limit on being affected. His commitment to spreading awareness and creating real change is truly inspiring.

A Career in Business and Passion for Challenges
Tod works in private equity, helping businesses grow and supporting owners on their path to success. He also has a passion for music and manages a sensational band, The Lilacs.
Beyond business and music, he thrives on quite extreme physical challenges. He has completed an English Channel swim, participated in multiple Ironman UK competitions, and ran several ultra-marathons.

Fundraising for Nacoa and Making an Impact
In 2024, he climbed Mont Blanc and raised £45,000 for Nacoa. This money supporting thousands of children through school care programs, enabling 90 new schools to offer vital assistance to those affected by parental alcoholism.
Through these challenges, Tod has learned that his past does not define him. His father’s struggles with alcohol cast a long shadow, but he refused to let them dictate his future. Instead, he used his experiences as motivation to achieve his goals, build a loving family, and push himself to extraordinary limits.
The impact of being a COA never completely disappears. However, he has reached a turning point where he is ready to say, ‘Enough is enough.’ He wants others to know they are not alone—that support exists, and healing is possible.
A New Role as Trustee
As a trustee for Nacoa, Tod’s mission is to raise awareness and champion the incredible work Nacoa does. We will empower others with the message that ‘It does not have to define you.’
We are honoured to have Tod on board and look forward to the impact he will make in spreading awareness and support. Together, we can ensure that no child feels alone being affected by a parent’s drinking.
Welcome, Tod!
