It’s Addiction Awareness Week 30 Nov – 6 Dec, and this year the theme is ‘ ‘Addiction Affects Everyone BUT Recovery Is Possible’. At Nacoa, we know that children and family members should never be forgotten. Especially when recovery for their parent has not been possible.
To mark Addiction Awareness Week, Members are coming together to highlight the challenges faced by COAs and shine a light on this hidden harm. And celebrate outstanding work in the community to support everyone affected by a parent’s drinking.
Members Social+ is our signature online event dedicated to our much valued Nacoa members. It will be a time to hear from special speakers, and share a space to connect with Nacoa’s work.
For this special Addiction Awareness Weel social, this special lineup of speakers will include:
- Josh Connolly, Nacoa ambassador
- Dr Arabella Byrne, Nacoa ambassador and author of In the Blood
- Chanita Stephenson, Nacoa ambassador, social worker, TV star and Married at First Sight legend
- John Taylor, Nacoa ambassador, documentarian, author and families addiction therapist
There will also be time for optional breakouts to get to meet fellow members.
