A Heartfelt Thank You from Nacoa This Christmas, as CharityJobs announce their £10,000 funding for Nacoa this Xmas.

At Nacoa, we are incredibly moved to have been selected as one of the recipients of CharityJob’s generous £10,000 donation. A boost comes at a crucial moment—just as we are preparing for the holiday season. A time that can be especially difficult for the children and families we support.

Who We Are

Nacoa exists to support children growing up in families where one or both parents suffer from alcohol dependency or addiction. For these children, the holidays often bring an added layer of emotional strain.

Christmas is often a time of isolation, fear, and uncertainty, marked by instability or neglect. Many of these children experience trauma and sadness when others are celebrating, and the support they receive can make a profound difference in how they cope.

With this donation, we will be able to provide vital emotional support, peer-to-peer support, and resources that help these children navigate not only the holidays, but give them the tools they need to cope throughout the coming year. Whether it’s through our helpline, online forums, or peer support groups, we aim to remind these children that they are not alone and that they deserve love, care, and support.

Why This Matters Now More Than Ever

To be chosen as one of the ten charities to receive this donation is an incredible honour, especially in a year when so many organisations are doing vital work to support those in need. We are grateful to CharityJob for recognising the importance of supporting smaller charities like ours.

That’s why this pledge means so much to us. CharityJobs shows that there are people and organisations who care, and who are passionate about making a difference. Which in turn helps us to reach even more children this Christmas who need to know that there is light, even in the darkest of times.

You are not alone

Remember the Six "C"s

I didn’t cause it
I can’t control it
I can’t cure it
I can take care of myself
I can communicate my feelings
I can make healthy choices
