Just Blooming Prints in aid of Nacoa
Introducing ‘Just Blooming’ prints, in aid of Nacoa and in memory of mum. As Nacoa ambassador Ceri Walker approaches 20 years since losing her to addiction.
A huge thank you to Betty Blooming for collaborating with Ceri, then growing and capturing these beautiful Brighton blooms! Both lost their mums to alcohol way too young.
They came up with this idea due to what these images represent is the different roots in life to others. A childhood that others may not recognise or understand, concealing experiences, as parents conceal their drinking.
But with support and recognition of their experiences children of alcoholics are able to grow and really blossom into the person they want to become!
TO BUY AN A4 PRINT:
Please visit Ceri’s Go Fund Me and donate £25 for all 3 prints, or £10 for one print (+ £1.50 postage). Please state in the comments which one you would like:-McDonald’s, Coca Cola or Mountain Dew!
Ceri says of the project:
‘Finding a tribe in Nacoa really helps COAs to grow and become authentically themselves. To realise that they are important and matter too, as most of their lives may have been spent worrying about their parent!
‘I’ve planned this fundraiser to mark 20 years since mum died. 20 years of missing the mum she was, the mum I always thought she’d become, and grandparent she could have been to my children.
‘There are mixed emotions of love for the amazing fun mum she was when she didn’t drink. And anger for what I experienced as a child that no child should go through. I love my life and continue to stop the trauma travelling to the next generation with support from Nacoa. I just had a vision that these floral prints represent my life in some way!
‘A huge thank you to Lizzie from Betty Blooming for growing and photographing these wonderful prints!’
