This week on Lunchtime Lives with Josh Connolly we welcome Nacoa’s longest serving patron, Tony Adams MBE.
Tony Adams has had a long and glittering career in football as both a player and manager. He captained England and Arsenal through the 90s, and was a hero to men and women all over the world. During this time, Adams developed a drink problem which would threaten his career and his family-life.
After finding AA, and recovering using the 12 Step Programme, Tony has reinvented himself as the creator for addiction clinic charity ‘Sporting Chance’, ambassador for the royal charity campaign ‘Heads Together’ and is the longest serving patron of Nacoa UK. In own struggles with addiction, his recovery journey, and how he came to be the patron of Nacoa.
